Our Beliefs
What We Believe
At Apostolics of McAlester, our faith is rooted in the unchanging truth of God's Word. We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God — our ultimate authority for life, faith, and practice. Everything we teach, preach, and stand on flows from Scripture

ONE GOD
We believe in one God...eternal, all-powerful, and all-knowing. He is the Creator of all things and the Father of us all. We believe that God revealed Himself fully in the person of Jesus Christ, and that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not three separate persons, but three manifestations of the one God. Jesus Christ is the fullness of the Godhead bodily.
"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." Colossians 2:9
REPENTANCE
We believe that repentance is the first step toward salvation, a genuine turning away from sin and toward God. Repentance is not simply feeling sorry, but a sincere change of heart and direction that produces a transformed life.
"Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out." Acts 3:19

WATER BAPTISM
We believe in baptism by full immersion in water, in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins. This is not merely a symbol or tradition, it is a commandment of Scripture and a vital part of the new birth experience.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins." Acts 2:38
HOLY GHOST
We believe that every believer should receive the gift of the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. The Holy Ghost is not just an experience, He is the Spirit of God living inside of you, empowering you to live a life that glorifies Him.
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4
